Overview

This full-day excursion from San José takes you to explore the Poás region. The journey crosses mountains and livestock farms to reach the Poás Volcano. The itinerary includes a short walk to the crater to view its lagoon, depending on local weather conditions. Free time is provided at the site's cafeteria to purchase snacks. The day continues with a visit to the La Paz Waterfall, a 37-metre high waterfall. Finally, you will visit an authentic coffee farm to see the plantations, learn about the production process, and taste farm-produced coffee and chocolates. Transport is provided in an air-conditioned vehicle and includes the return to your hotel.
