Full-Day Snorkelling Cruise to Tranquility Island, Vanuatu

Overview

This full-day excursion takes you from Port Vila to Moso Island for a day of relaxation and marine exploration. The journey begins with a minibus transfer to Havana Harbour, followed by a voyage aboard a 75 ft (23 m) motorised ketch. The itinerary includes two snorkelling sessions to explore the reefs, as well as alternative activities such as kayaking or bushwalking for those who prefer to stay dry. The day is punctuated by refreshments, including Tanna tea and coffee, sweet buns, and a tropical fruit platter. Lunch is served as a barbecue featuring local steak, salads, and French bread. Snorkelling equipment is provided for all aquatic activities. The return to Port Vila takes place in the late afternoon, between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm.

Itinerary

1. Guests will be picked-up by mini bus from 8.00am then over the jungle clad hills to beautiful Havanah Harbour. The area we cruise is in the rain shadow side of the island so we have more fine days than most other areas. We board the boat by way of a small tender and the guide presents a short safety talk. Tea & Tanna coffee is served with tasty sweet buns. Our first stop at Tranquillity Island Resort, then we proceed to our first snorkeling spot, Guests that do not want to do snorkeling can find a shady spot on the beach to relax on the beach & swim. Kayaking and bush walk is also an option. Lunch - tasty local steak with salads & french bread. Cold drinks are available from the bar at reasonable prices. After lunch we have bush walk then a 2nd snorkelling trip is organized. Around 4.00.pm we head back to the boat for afternoon tea & a fruit platter. We are back to the mainland & guests join the bus to return to Vila by 5.00 - 5:30pm.
