Overview

Combine land and sea with this private adventure combo departing from Guanacaste. The activity begins with a one-hour guided jet ski excursion along the coast, heading towards Flamingo and Las Catalinas. The second part takes place on a Honda semi-automatic ATV, driven by yourself or with a driver. The itinerary crosses secondary roads and forests, leading to beaches such as Playa Minas. In the event of heavy rain making rivers impassable, the route is adapted to visit other accessible beaches. The experience includes life jackets, helmets, goggles, as well as bottled water and seasonal fruit. Depending on the chosen option, round-trip transport may be included. For adults wishing to travel on a double ATV, the KID option should be selected. A minimum of two people is required for the tour.

Itinerary

1. This is where our office is located, and where your check-in process will take place. Here, you’ll meet your tour guide, who will go over everything you need to know about driving. Before heading out, you’ll do a practice test to get a feel for your vehicle. If you’re not completely comfortable, you’ll have the option to switch to a different type of vehicle for a smoother ride!

2. Playa Conchal

   while families with kids can pair up on double ATVs or 2-seater buggies. Enjoy the adventure as you ride through forests and rivers, making your way to the coast. Then, hop on a guided 1-hour Jet Ski tour heading north to Flamingo and Las Catalinas, where you’ll cruise along the stunning coastline and take in breathtaking ocean views. This is an exciting way to explore both the land and sea around Tamarindo! Important: If you are an adult and want to go as a passenger on a Double ATV, select the option KID. A minimum of 2 ATVs or 1 Buggy is required for the tour to run.

   Then, switch gears and hop on your own ATV (or ride along with a driver) as we explore backroads, forests, and beautiful beaches like Playa Minas. During the rainy season, if river levels are too high, we may adjust the route to visit other accessible beaches instead.

Pickup is 30–45 minutes before tour time if you stay near Tamarindo, Playa Grande, JW Marriott, or Flamingo. Riu Hotel Guests: Please wait in the lobby one hour before the tour starts. Exact time confirmed the day prior. Please be ready on time. This is a shared service, so punctuality is key. Missed pickup is non-refundable. If staying at Airbnb or private rental, send us your location link. For gated communities like Hacienda Pinilla or Reserva Conchal, we will send driver and plate details the day before. Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent, water shoes, a towel, and a swimsuit. An ATV is operated by one person with space for one passenger. A UTV seats several passengers more comfortably. If you booked a 4-person UTV, please advise if you prefer one 4-seater or two 2-seaters. Without notice, we assign based on availability. Your safety is our priority. We provide helmets and goggles, mandatory at all times. Guides will review safety rules and instructions before departure. Rainy season offers lush green landscapes.
