Ziplining and Hanging Bridges in the Monteverde Cloud Forest

Overview

Explore the Monteverde Cloud Forest during a day of adventure combining nature observation and thrills. The journey begins with a guided walk across eight hanging bridges, ranging from 45 to 510 ft (155 metres) in length, offering a privileged view of the biodiversity and unique ecosystem of this misty region. The visit continues with a zipline course of approximately 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) through the canopy. The experience includes several gliding sections as well as a Tarzan Swing to discover the forest from the treetops. Three options are available: private transport with a guide, shared transport (maximum 15 people) from Guanacaste, or a self-drive option for those staying in Monteverde. Lunch is included only for excursions departing from Guanacaste; it can be added for an extra fee for other options.

Itinerary

1. Selvatura Park

   After pick up from your hotel you will be taken to the park in Monteverde Cloud Forest to start your adventure! Ziplining: High adventure zip lining that includes rappelling, and tarzan swing looking into the beautiful valleys of Monteverde. We will start by harnessing you with all the equipment after which your guides will lecture you on all the safety procedures. You will then be flying through 15 cables and 18 platforms with an optional Tarzan Swing at the end. The zipline tour usually takes about 2.5 hours and can be done by ages 4 and older. Guided Hanging Bridges: The Tree Top Walkways consist of a 1.9 mile (3 km) trail that crosses through the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Here visitors will walk on eight different bridges with various lengths ranging between 150 feet (50 meters) up to 510 feet (170 meters) and altitudes ranging between 36 feet (12 meters) up to 180 feet (60 meters). The Tree Top Walkways are suitable for people of all ages, ususally taking about 1.5 hours.
