Night Wildlife Observation in Monteverde, Costa Rica

Explore the Monteverde rainforest at night during a two-hour small group walk, led by a local naturalist. You will search for nocturnal species such as two-toed sloths, frogs, sleeping toucans, owls, armadillos, kinkajous, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, and stick insects. Sightings depend on the presence of wild animals. To optimise observation, a rechargeable flashlight is provided. The guide uses a professional HD spotting scope with a tripod for detailed viewing and smartphone photography. The excursion is limited to eight participants to ensure a personal experience. The activity takes place at Finca Lantana. Three options are available: a guiding service only, an option including transport and guiding, or an all-inclusive private tour that also includes reserve entrance fees. The trail, ranging from easy to moderate, can be muddy or uneven.
