Full-Day Snake Canyon Adventure Tour, Jebel Shams Region

Overview

Embark on a private expedition into Snake Canyon, located in the Jebel Shams region of Oman. Accompanied by certified guides, you will follow a route of approximately 6 km (3.7 miles) combining hiking along impressive canyon walls, swimming, and jumping into crystal-clear natural pools. The experience includes a rappelling section of approximately 25 m (82 ft) to navigate the canyon's obstacles. The activity lasts on average between 5 and 6 hours depending on the group's pace. To maintain your energy, snacks and water are provided during the trek, followed by a traditional Omani lunch after exiting the canyon. Two options are available: one including pick-up from any location in Oman, and another without this service. Essential safety equipment, including a helmet, life jacket, and rappelling gear, is provided by the guiding team.

Plunge into Oman’s mesmerizing Snake Canyon for adventures amid crystal-clear pools and stunning canyon walls. During the adventure tour you'll be jumping into water pools, hike across boulders, cross caves and do some abseiling (max. about 25 meters). Within the Jebel Shams region, this Snake Canyon route is for the adventurous explorers. It's about 6km and takes around 5-6 hours. Within this route, abseiling of about 25 meters is required. Transportation to the canyon can be arranged upfront for an additional fee. See the different tour options. For pictures, please bring a waterproof camera or a waterproof bag for your phone. Our advice is also to wear a sports outfit and water shoes (not mandatory).
