Overview

This full-day excursion takes you through the iconic landscapes of Campania. The itinerary includes stops in Positano and Sorrento, where you will have one hour of free time in each town to explore the streets and vistas at your own pace. The journey continues to the Pompeii archaeological site for a two-hour guided tour among the ancient ruins, before returning to the starting point. Several options are available depending on your arrival point: from Naples station, Naples port, or Salerno. A two-day option is also offered, including an overnight stay in modern apartments in Naples (Mondo Suites) and transfer from the airport, station, or port.

Itinerary

1. Parc Archéologique de Pompei

   Last stop: Pompeii.  Pompeii is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.

2. Sorrento Coast

   Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

3. Costiera Amalfitana

   First stop on this trip will be Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own).  Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.

Your driver or guide will be waiting for you, holding a sign reading: "Mondo Guide". You will be returned to the port at the end of the excursion.
