Our Historic Tour Úbeda + Baeza is the only product in the province that includes a visit to the Water Synagogue. It also allows you to take guided tours in both cities in a flexible way, since you decide when you visit each city. The guided tours can be done on different days or on the same day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, always respecting the established schedules.

1. Holy Chapel of the Saviour

   The Sacred Chapel of El Salvador is an architectural jewel in its entirety, it is not only spectacular on the outside but also on the inside. It is a masterpiece by Diego de Siloé that Andrés de Vandelvira executed to whom the Sacristy is entirely due. The result is a Church that lives up to the best Italian Renaissance architecture.

2. Palace del Dean Ortega

   It is one of the most important Spanish-Renaissance palaces in the city. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, it is, since 1929, the current National Tourism Parador. The palace has recently been musealized to facilitate its historical visit.

3. Palacio Juan Vazquez de Molina

   The Juan Vázquez de Molina or de las Cadenas Palace is the work of Andrés de Vandelvira (16th century), today it is the City Hall and one of the most beautiful Renaissance palaces in Spain. It has a similar scheme to the palaces and great houses of the 16th century in Spain.

4. Santa María de los Reales Alcázares

   This temple, Iglesia Parroquial Mayor de Úbeda, constitutes the most significant overlapping of architectural styles in the city. It contains an interesting Cloister from the 15th century as well as noble chapels from the 15th and 16th centuries and numerous pieces of ironwork and paintings of maximum artistic representation.

6. Palacio de Vela de los Cobos

   It is a Renaissance noble palace located in the historic center of the city of Úbeda. It was ordered to be built by the mayor of Úbeda Francisco Vela de los Cobos in the middle of the 16th century. The building plans were made by Andrés de Vandelvira and the execution was due to stonemason Jorge Leal

7. Iglesia de San Pablo

   The Church of San Pablo, is the second oldest and most important temple in the city of Úbeda, after Santa María de los Reales Alcázares. This temple was erected in the 13th century on a neighborhood mosque, but we owe its current Gothic morphology to the restoration paid for by Bishop Alonso Suárez de la Fuente del Sauce.

8. Iglesia de San Miguel

   It is one of the smallest churches in Úbeda and one of the most impressive. Neo-Renaissance style; It consists of three naves with a transept, covered by half-barrel vaults and a half-orange dome with a prominent lantern on the transept. Its beautiful exterior with bichromatic tiling stands out.

9. Museo San Juan de la Cruz

   This Convent-Museum houses the place where Saint John of the Cross, an important figure of Christian thought and spirituality, died and was buried. The space has various relics and souvenirs related to the Saint.

10. Synagogue Of Water

    The Synagogue of Water is made up of six unique spaces, of which it is worth highlighting the ritual purification bath room or Mikveh, a space dedicated to ritual purification baths so common in Jewish customs. Another of the spaces that should be mentioned and that can be seen during the visit is the Gallery of Women, a place occupied by women during ceremonies and rites hidden behind lattices. The “Del Inquisidor” room, with the patio, cellar and ovens, correspond to the dependencies that made up, in the Middle Ages, the possible house of the rabbi.

11. Plaza del Populo

    The Plaza del Pópulo is one of the emblematic squares of the World Heritage city of Baeza. In it, coexist a monumental complex of great artistic and historical value such as the Old Butchers (now the Courts) or “La Casa del Pópulo” (currently a Plateresque building that houses the city's Tourist Office). from a fountain, also called Fuente de los Leones, the Puerta de Jaén and the Arco de Villalar.
