Overview

Join a 6-hour excursion dedicated to the gastronomy and culture of Crete. Accompanied by a local guide, you will be welcomed into a family home for an insight into the island's culinary traditions. The experience begins with a welcome drink and the picking of fresh vegetables from the family garden. You will then learn to prepare traditional Cretan recipes, notably using an old wood-fired oven, while discovering the origin and history of each dish. The programme includes a wine tasting paired with local cheese platters, as well as a visit to the themed rooms of the residence. Here, you will discover the Cretan tradition of weaving and various artefacts illustrating the lifestyle of previous centuries, all within a setting offering views of the sea and mountains. The visit concludes with the tasting of the lunch you have prepared, accompanied by Cretan wine. Transport in an air-conditioned minibus and pick-up are included.

Hotel pickups commence approximately 30 - 60 minutes prior to this time, exact pickup time will be advised on reconfirmation.
