2. Roosevelt Arch

   Standing tall at the Northeast entrance of the park in Gardiner, the Roosevelt Arch is a historic monument that was built by the US Army. In 1903, President Roosevelt laid down the cornerstone of this arch. The top of the arch features a quote that reads, "For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People." This quote comes from the Organic Act of 1872, which is the legislation that created Yellowstone.
