1. Via Giuseppe Garibaldi

   Magnificent Palaces from the 16 century shows the incredible wealth of the Genoese Bankers that kept the Spanish Crown under their control for 300 years. This is the First Real Estate investment of the World History. 1565 AD.

   The most breathtaking view of the City. Is undoutedly a unique spot and that's why we leave it as a surprise . How can you describe such a view ?!

You will see how the Genoese where spending theyr money to show off and impress the courts of Europe and all the Guest they has when acting as the first Venture Capitalist of the History ... Yes Genoese beat Silicon Valley by 400 years :-).

4. Palazzo Ducale

   Wonderful and massive marble Palce ; here Marco Polo spent 1.5 years in prison and indeed, here is where the " Il Milione " has been written: Polo went back to Venice in perfect health :-).

5. Via Prè

   Once the most " money making machine " of Italy, saw all the possible Sin of the Humanity and joy too. Now is a strech of road where all the colors of the skins are available and the shops can be from anywhere in the World. Asians, Africans, East European; The " Dark side of the Medal " and 80 meters far away richness at his best displays Yachts valuable dozens of millions $.

6. La Commenda di Pre

   Phenomenal Gotic Church and his annex Templar Hospital. Exactly TEMPLARS where arriving here when back from Asia after fighting a Crusades. You will see real Malta Cross dating 1184 AD. The unique construction is stunning. Any rock has the mark of the cisel like been done yesterday. Beautiful !

7. Definetly a phenomenal Basilica that you do not expect to admiore in Genoa but in Rome... but ias is Genoa :-). Do not forget that these people where the richest of the known world from 1300 till at least 1700 . Surely very " tight " with the money , they where also in need to ask for forgiveness, considering how they earn the massive quantity of wealth they had and that's why oin Genoa you have amazing, stunning " show off " Churches. Was the main way to show your power and wealth, apart obviously, building marvelous palaces made in marble and gold. ( marble was free ( almost ) as Carrara become a colony in 1284 ; this explain you why Genova is made in marble .

8. A dispaly of power in white . Marble everywhere and possibly we visit one of the students' exams roo. Stuccos, painting on the wall and a lovely wood amphiteatro where student can see the exams.

9. House of Francesco Maria Balbi Piovera

   We can't walk to the upper floors but the ground floor is enough to see the grandeur of this family. Pity they plaster the wall and canceled the painting till the ceiling that has been restored to ghis natrural beauty and modifiied.

10. Palazzo Nicolo Lomellini

    Gorgeous building ! Any human being would love to live here. You will see and understand what means getting back from work and jumpo into the 1500 centry in a stunning painted building with probably the most beautiful stairs in Genoa. If you know Escher you will see that the Genoese designed them well before him :-).
