Overview

A one-day guided tour through the main sites of the Old Kingdom: The whole ancient history is spread over 30 dynasties. We have three groups of dynasties from 3 to 6 known as the “Old Kingdom”, 11 and 12 known as the “Middle Kingdom” and from 17 to 20 known as the “New Kingdom”. Most monuments in Giza focus on the Old Kingdom as Memphis was the first Capital of Egypt in this time. From Giza in the north to the south Abou Sir, Saqqara, Dahshur, Zawitelarian Maidoum; these six main archeological sites were part of the huge cemetery of the Old Kingdom. The most important archaeological sites in this huge cemetery are the Giza Plateau, Saqqara and Dahshur.

1. Nécropole de Gizeh

   One of the most important sightseeing location of the whole ancient Egyptology.

2. Pyramides de Saqqarah

   One of the richest archaeological sites in the old cemetery, Saqqara belonging to the Old Kingdom because it contains different tombs from different eras. It’s variety is very vast.

3. Memphis and Sakkara

   Very famous archaeological site of the first Capital of Egypt with its huge Ramses II statues lying on the ground.

4. Dahshur was a part of the old cemetery of the Old Kingdom. It’s very famous for the Pint or Broken Pyramid as well as the Red Pyramid.
