Overview

Embark on a 3-hour cruise in Hobart Harbour aboard a racing maxi used in the famous Sydney to Hobart race. This sailing experience allows you to explore one of the world's most sheltered and picturesque harbours, offering panoramic views of the city, Mount Wellington, and the surrounding hills and forests. The professional crew offers two approaches: take an active part in operating the winches and the helm, or simply relax and enjoy the scenery. Depending on luck and the season, you may spot dolphins, seals, penguins, and occasionally whales or orcas. Three time slots are available depending on your preference: a morning sail at 9 am, a winter sail at 10 am, or an afternoon sail at 2 pm. Local treats for morning or afternoon tea are included, while local wines and beers are available for purchase at the bar.

Itinerary

  1. Hobart

Sailors will see the beautiful city of Hobart, its historic docks and surrounding mountains and forests from the large sheltered harbour. Sometimes there will be other yachts racing on the harbour and sometimes we will be visited by curious dolphins and seals. Very occasionally we will see whales and orca. Sailors will experience what it is really like sailing aboard a large ocean-going yacht, and they can take turns on the winches or even try their hand at the wheel if they like.

    · Non-stop passage
  2. Mount Wellington

See Mt. Wellington and the surrounding forests and hills.
