Explore the Vietnam Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on a private excursion from Hue. The full-day option (9 hours) extends the itinerary to Dakrong Bridge, a strategic point on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the Khe Sanh Combat Base, a former US Marine Corps outpost, and the Doc Mieu Base. This option includes lunch, while the half-day option (5 hours) does not.

Itinerary

1. La Vang Church

   At 7:30 am, our driver will come to pick you up at your hotel/ homestay in Hue city and we start the Hue DMZ tour. Our driver will stop at La Vang church for you to visit and capture photos. La Vang church is a famous pilgrimage place for Catholics in Vietnam. A story of the Virgin Mary came out in this area in 1978 to bless the Christians in difficulties and accidents. So they built a holy shrine close to the three banyan trees.

2. After that, we will pick up our local guide to visit Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai river is a very clear boundary that separates Vietnam into two parts. During the France and Indochina war, it was made on the 17th parallel to divide Vietnam into northern and southern parts with two different governments who work independently.

3. Dakrong Bridge is the beginning point of one of the main trails of Ho Chi Minh that leads to the border with Laos. This was the main access point during Vietnam war.

4. Khe Sanh Combat Base

   Keep doing the Vietnam DMZ Tour, we will explore Khe Sanh Combat base is a very important and famous site. It is the place where most popular of Vietnam was fought for almost 75 days. There is a small museum on the old camp site that contains old fascinating photographs of Vietnam war, American aircrafts and a few reconstructed bunkers.

5. Vinh Moc Tunnel

   Vinh Moc Tunnels network was not constructed for war purposes whereas they were only used as shelters for civilians. They are considered as the most successful tunnels plan during war. We will get compete guidance about the place and ample of time to explore the museum, underground tunnels, village with family rooms, clinics, wells, stoves, meeting rooms, exits to the sea and more.
