Bribri Magic Chocolate and Waterfall Experience in Limón

Overview

Departing from Puerto Viejo, this excursion takes you to meet an indigenous family from the Dutsuwák clan. You will discover their culture, traditions, and ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants during a guided tour. The programme includes exploring a permaculture garden and tasting fresh cocoa fruits. You will actively participate in the traditional chocolate-making process. In most cases, the tour is led by a native Bribri guide from the Duriwak clan. The journey continues with a stop in the Talamanca mountains for a swim in the natural pool of a waterfall, before returning to Puerto Viejo.

   The visitor will be at an indigenous family from the Dutsuwák, listen part of the indigenous history, watch and get explanation of the medicinal plants, taste a cocoa fruit, and lastly make chocolate.
