San Miniato is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Tuscany. Very famous for its historical importance, today it is known mainly for the delicacies of the white truffle, for wines and our cuisine! But many people don't know that the city of San Miniato has a really interesting history behind it and hides places and alleys that we are sure will win you over! We will accompany you to discover these places telling you stories, legends and anecdotes that not everyone knows!
Choose your option when you book.
Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta e di San Genesio
One of the first stops will be the beautiful cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and San Genesio, a beautiful church that dominates the oldest part of the city
Rocca Federico II
Once you climb to the highest part of the city, you will have the opportunity to admire the symbol of the city of San Miniato: the Rock of Frederick II.
Chiesa o Santuario del Santissimo Crocifisso
A beautiful Sanctuary at the foot of the Rock of Frederick II, a favorite destination for couples who must get married! A very simple church on the outside but hiding inside wonderful decorations and a miraculous crucifix (can only be admired in the last week of October). In some periods the opening of the Shrine is not guaranteed.
Palazzo del Seminario
Walking through the narrow streets of San Miniato we'll also have the opportunity to see the Palazzo del Seminario overlooking the entire Piazza della Repubblica (also known as Piazza del Seminario) with its frescoes and ancient fourteenth-century shops
