Grand Tour of the Stones in Electric Rickshaw

Overview

The tour, lasting 2 hours, gives guests the opportunity to visit, in a fun and light-hearted way, the whole of the historic center and all the ancient district "Sassi" (Barisano and Caveoso) along the main streets, most important neighborhoods and historical churches (in conjunction with the opening hours) .Our guests will be provided at the departure of audio guides, which will accompany users to discover the old city. In this regard, we specify that the audio guide supports are in Italian and English. inside the tour, included in the ticket, there is a visit to a cave house, historic and characteristic dwelling of the time and a free tour of the Cathedral. Guided entrances to the Cathedral, cave churches and other paid places are excluded unless direct users in the desired structures. 1. Ancient house typically furnished with period furniture and utensils. The visit will make us fully understand how we lived in the ancient Sassi districts before abandonment.

   Free visit to the majestic Cathedral of Madonna della Bruna and Sant'Eustachio. Main Catholic place of worship in Matera.

3. Sasso Barisano

   Visit of the Sasso Barisano overlooking the panoramic point called Barisano. It presents more built environments than excavated. From the panoramic point you can admire the "gorge" of the Gravina stream that divides the ancient Sassi districts from the Murgia plateau.
