On this one-day tour, you'll get out of the minibus and into the glorious countryside! Experience the Cotswolds' celebrated walking trails with a fun, friendly local guide. You'll enjoy up to three glorious walks on this tour. Walks may vary according to the group, weather and trail conditions, but we can promise you peaceful Cotswold villages, gloriously scenic views and quiet footpaths away from the crowds of the ‘touristy’ parts of the Cotswolds - heaven! The day will round off with a visit to the gorgeous village of Broadway (with the option to see Broadway Tower), where you can explore, shop, or grab some refreshment after your day of walking the Cotswolds! Tours depart from Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, or from Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds. Travelling from London or Oxford? Take the train to Moreton-in-Marsh! You'll skip all the traffic, enjoy a charming, scenic train ride, and get to spend even longer in the beautiful Cotswolds!

Itinerary

1. Cotswold Way

   We have two pick up points for this tour: we collect our first passengers in Stratford-upon-Avon at 08.45 for departure by 08.50, then travel to Moreton-in-Marsh rail station to collect our final guests at 09.30. From Moreton-in-Marsh station, we'll drive you through the gorgeous Cotswolds countryside in our comfy, air-conditioned 16-seater Mercedes minibus. Then, we'll park and start exploring! This tour will include 2-3 easy, gently paced countryside walks, led by an experienced Go Cotswolds guide. Walk 1: Walks may vary according to the group, weather and trail conditions, but we can promise you peaceful Cotswold villages, gloriously scenic views and quiet footpaths away from the crowds of the ‘touristy’ parts of the Cotswolds - heaven!

   We'll round off the day in the gorgeous village of Broadway, often referred to as "the jewel of the Cotswolds' crown". You'll have free time here to explore, shop, or grab some refreshment at the end of your day of walking! We provide our unique maps to help you navigate and to point out our favourite cafés, pubs and sights!

5. Moreton-in-Marsh

   For passengers who joined us at Moreton-in-Marsh, we return here to drop you off at approximately 17.00. If you prefer, we can also drop you off in Stratford-upon-Avon, just let us know when you request to book. We hope you had a wonderful day!

How to use your ticket

There are two pick-up points for this tour: Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal, Stratford-upon-Avon – Departure at 08:50; Moreton-in-Marsh Rail Station – Departure at 09:30. Please make sure you have selected the correct pick up point - if you're not sure which pick up to choose or how to get there, please just ask! Please note your ticket may display the tour start time as 08:50, regardless of your chosen pick-up location. However, if you selected Moreton-in-Marsh, your actual departure time is 09:30. Kindly arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled departure. You don't need to print your ticket - please just have it handy on your mobile phone and be prepared to show it to your guide if requested.

• You'll get the most out of this tour if you're comfortable walking up to 3 miles (5km) on varied terrain. We do offer easier or alternative options for less able walkers, but you should be able to walk at least 1 mile (1.6km).
• There are two pick-up points for this tour: Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal, Stratford-upon-Avon – Departure at 08:50; Moreton-in-Marsh Rail Station – Departure at 09:30. Please note your ticket may display the tour start time as 08:50, regardless of your chosen pick-up location. However, if you selected Moreton-in-Marsh, your actual departure time is 09:30. Kindly arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled departure.
• Look out for our friendly guide in Go Cotswolds uniform, driving a large white minibus with green and purple Go Cotswolds branding—you won’t miss us!
• Double-check your selected pick-up point. Occasionally, we don’t stop at both, so arriving at the wrong location could result in being left behind. To change your pick-up point, please log in to your account to update your booking. Need help choosing the best option? Contact us!
• If you are arriving in Moreton-in-Marsh by train, the train arriving at approximately 09:17–09:20 is ideal. It’s a small station, and it’s just a 1–2 minute walk to the car park where your guide will meet you.
• The total tour duration of 8 hours includes travel time, which may vary depending on the locations and walks chosen on the day. The drive from Stratford-upon-Avon to Moreton-in-Marsh (for those who select pick up in Stratford-upon-Avon) takes approximately 30 minutes.
• If you are arriving in Stratford-upon-Avon by train, note that our pick-up point is a 5–10 minute walk from the station. Please note that on Sundays, there are no trains arriving before the tour departs.
• Uber and similar services are not widely available in the Cotswolds, and local taxis can be difficult to book last minute. We strongly recommend booking taxis in advance or using public transport where possible.
• If you're not at your pick-up point on time (08:50 in Stratford-upon-Avon, 09:30 in Moreton-in-Marsh) and we can't contact you, the tour will depart without you. Make sure we have your correct mobile number with international dial code before your tour.
• After the tour, please plan any onward travel as follows: from Moreton-in-Marsh: After 17:00; from Stratford-upon-Avon: After 17:30
• We have plenty of secure luggage space on board our vehicles, though please note our guides may not be able to assist with very heavy luggage
• Children aged 3–15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Sorry, no children under 3, and this tour is not recommended for children under 8.
• Tours run in all but dangerous weather - please dress appropriately!
• Accessibility: Kindly note, this tour involves off-road hiking, so terrain may be uneven, slippery or muddy, and you may be required to cross stiles (steps to climb over a wall or fence) and cattle grids. For this reason, and the physical activity involved in this walking tour, it is not suitable for wheelchair users, people with mobility issues or serious health conditions, small children or children in strollers/pushchairs. Pregnant travellers who are fit and healthy with no mobility or serious health conditions are welcome, but you should make your own decision as to whether this tour is suitable for you.
