Gastronomic and Street Food Tour in Catania

Overview

Embark on a culinary walking exploration in the heart of Catania. This tour takes you through the bustling markets and historic squares of the city centre to discover local street food specialties. The tasting programme includes the iconic arancino, various local cheeses, fresh local fish, and other gastronomic surprises. Two options are available. The daytime tour focuses on the markets and the centre. The evening tour, departing at 5:00 pm, includes a visit to the Benedictine Monastery, an aperitif with horse meat and wine at sunset by the Castello Ursino, and a stop at Piazza Duomo for the traditional arancino. The evening concludes with Sicilian sweets: ricotta cannoli, cassatella, and almond paste in winter, or refreshing granita in summer.
