1. Pamukkale

   During this trip you will get to know the scenic and culturally varied interior of Turkey. Along the way, learn everything you ever wanted to know about the country from your private guide. For amateur photographers, there is always an opportunity for the perfect picture; maybe against the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains or a cotton field ready for harvest. The highlights of the trip are of course a walk over the sintered terraces of Pamukkale, a swim in an ancient swimming pool and a stroll through the Roman spa town of Hierapolis. 2. Hierapolis & Pamukkale

   The journey takes you to places of old cultural sites from the times of the Lycians, Carians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, first Christians and Seljuks. Hierapolis (ancient Greek "Holy City", occasionally Hieropolis) was an ancient Greek city in the Phrygia region in Asia Minor. Even if the city, as a presumably old Cybelekult shows, probably existed earlier, the oldest evidence comes from the 3rd century BC. 3. Laodicea

   Only about 5 kilometers outside of Denizli province and about 11 kilometers south of Hierapolis, a visit to the ancient city is an ideal alternative to the overcrowded Pamukkale. The river Lykus, called Çürüksu ırmak by the locals, was a tributary of the meander and formed the basis of life for the historically ancient city of Laodikeia, whose spelling also appears with Laodicea.
