Overview

Land transportation is one of the most common way from Siem Reap to Laos. We provide a private border transfer by a comfortable and good quality air-conditioned vehicle. Our driver is qualified and experienced and friendly. We will come to pick up from where you stay and travel to Laos by your chosen vehicle. The start time is flexible, just give us a quick notice before the departure start.

Activity itinerary

Private Border Transfer by comfortable air-conditioned vehicle from Siem Reap to Laos border nearby Steung Treng (also called Don Kralor but not on maps). A range of good quality vehicles is available. Vehicles are driven by a qualified and experienced driver. Guests are picked up at their hotel in Siem Reap. A flexible start time is offered although an early start is recommended. Contact the operator if you want to start earlier. If the vehicle departs Siem Reap early, then the vehicle can optionally stop at Beng Mealea Temple, Koh Ker Temple and Prasat Preah Vihear on the way. The vehicle can also stop to allow guests to take lunch (at guest expense). Obviously, the activity duration will be longer if stops are made. Guests can be dropped off within a short walking distance to the Stung Treng border post. Details Beng Mealea, meaning "lotus pond", is a temple of the Angkor Wat period located 40 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor. Koh Ker is a remote archaeological site in northern Cambodia about 120 kilometres away from Siem Reap and the ancient site of Angkor. It is a jungle filled region that is sparsely populated. Preah Vihear Temple is an ancient Hindu temple built during the period of the Khmer Empire, that is situated atop a 525-metre cliff in the Dângrêk Mountains. There are a few small rough and ready cafes on the Cambodian side of the border. There is also reasonable money exchange operators. There is little civilization on the Laos side of the border. We recommend that guests confirm their pick-up time from the border with a Laos transport operator before traveling.

How to use your ticket

Complimentary hotel pickup and drop off is available. A reasonable amount of luggage is allowed, e.g. one suitcase per passenger. Please consider the size of the vehicle according to the option chosen. Please note there are few places on route with good quality toilets. Passengers should take travel sickness medication if required. Ensure you give your guest name, hotel name and address BEFORE the day of the tour or transfer. Transfers depart at the agreed start time (please be sure to tell us your preferred time). Be ready for hotel pickup 15 minutes before the start time. Wait in your hotel lobby. An exact pickup time cannot be given. If less than 5 minutes remain before the start time and you have not been picked up, then please call us on the emergency number. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
