   The guide will pick you up from the port of Bari, the airport, ANY hotel in Bari or its surroundings and bring you to Matera, one of the world’s oldest towns dating back to the Paleolithic times. Explore this complex and beautiful network of caves, churches carved entirely out of the rock and narrow streets on foot to best experience this wonderful ancient town. During the walking tour which lasts approx. 2 hours, our professional guides will show you the 3 districts of Matera : Cività, the most fascinating part of the old town named “Sassi”: Sasso Barisano and the Sasso Caveoso . A VISITE IN A CAVE HOUSE IS INCLUDED! The visit will take you to discover the history of this town carved into the rock, where inhabitants still lived until the XX century. The itinerary includes a visit to a cave-like house recently opened to the public, and to ancient cave churches and cisterns. A really unique and suggestive experience.

2. Alberobello

   The first trulli showed up in the prehistoric age being part of an ancient settlement in the Itria Valley.Still, the oldest trulli we know today are in Alberobello, dating back to the 14th Century:The trulli are an important example of rural architecture that still survives today. The panoramic view on Rione Aia Piccola and Rione Monti with its infinite expanse of conical roofs is enchanting. Don't miss the opportunity to live an authentic experience in Alberobello & to discover these unique Apulian ancient constructions. In the end you can have a tasting of local liquors and Taralli in a typical TRULLO built in 1700 a.d.
