Welcome to Malta's heritage and to its culture. This tour will introduce a typical fishing Maltese neighborhood to contrast with the stunning Valletta that will show you how culture, history and contemporary architecture can combine and thrive in the same space. You will also have the possibility to explore the late-Neolithic site of Ħaġar Qim that consists of a group of monumental megalithic buildings greatly preserved. Our guide will get you through the most important historical events and will explain Maltese traditions to understand a bit more about this strategic small island (and its people) in the Mediterranean sea. Valletta City Gate
The current city gate is the fifth city gate Valletta has had in around 450 years, the first gate starting in April 1566. In front of it, we will gladly admire Triton's fountain, the first element that comes to our attention before entering the city gates.
St. John's Co-Cathedral
Built in the 1570s as the church for the Knights of St John, this magnificent cathedral is not only Malta’s most visited church, but also home of a Caravaggio painting.
Grand Master's Palace
The first building to be constructed by the Knights of St John in the new capital city and enlarged over the years, this Palace is the Office of the President of Malta.
Hastings Gardens
One of the highest points of the City, offering stunning panoramic views over Floriana, Msida, Sliema, and Manoel Island.
Upper Barrakka Gardens
One of the most visited places in Malta and admired by many for their beauty and rich history. The gardens offer a view over Valletta’s Grand Harbour and Vittoriosa’s Grand Harbour Marina.
Republic Street
Republic street is the main road of Valletta and its here that you will find most of the government related buildings. It's primarily pedestrian-only and it is only one kilometer long.
Marsaxlokk Harbour
This very unique and incredibly colorful village is home to thousands of Luzzus, these typical maltese fishing boats.
Blue Grotto Il-Hnejja
In this viewpoint you can appreciate a network of six caves, boasting the most stunning views and clearest waters the Maltese Islands have to offer. This is one of Malta’s most popular natural attractions.
Haġar Qim Park Visitor Centre
The megalithic temples of Ħaġar Qim (adge-ar eem; 'standing stones') and Mnajdra (mm-nigh-dra) are the best preserved and most evocative of Malta's prehistoric sites, with an unparalleled location atop sea cliffs.
