Your guide will lead you to visit at first the biggest monastery in Veiko Tarnovo region - the Transfiguration Monastery, where you can talk to the abbot. Roman city Nicopolis ad Istrum had an exceptional 3 km long aqueduct. Just imagine the scale of work needed from the ancient people to build the city. Other sights during the trip include the Eagle's Stony Heights Cave, Cherven - one of the best preserved medieval fortresses in Bulgaria and of course the Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo and the Rock-Hewn Monastery of Besarbovo.
