On May 5, 1862, approximately 70,000 union and confederate soldiers clashed at the Battle of Williamsburg. Remnants of that bloody struggle linger to this day. Parking is at 460 East Francis Street ( Kings Arms Tavern Parking Lot) Walk out the exit across Francis Street onto Blair Street and you will see your guide up ahead in the circle in front of the Capitol building .
