Itinerary

1. Bay of Islands

   Join us on board as we cruise the 144 Sub-tropical Islands in the Bay of Islands. Marine wildlife, Commentary & History through the day, with two remote island stopovers (Roberton Island & a second island location determined on the day) with easy walking tracks stunning viewpoints over the bay, as well as snorkelling/swimming. Smaller groups, personalised, and interactive - the best way to experience the Bay of Islands.

2. Check in at PIER 10 on the Paihia wharf, please arrive 15 minutes before your departure time

3. Stopover on Roberton Island (Twin Lagoons) where you are able to do a short walk and explore the island's walking trail to the lookout point, providing 360 degree views over the islands and the iconic lagoons

4. If the conditions are suitable, travel out to the famous "Hole in the Rock" and Cape Brett Lighthouse, and possibly travel through the hole!

5. Motu Kokako, often referred to as "the Hole in the Rock," is a stunning natural rock formation located in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. This iconic geological wonder features a distinctive, perfectly round hole that has been carved through the middle of the island by the forces of wind and water over thousands of years. Visitors on a boat cruise are treated to the unique opportunity to sail through this picturesque opening in the rock, creating a memorable and breathtaking experience amidst the pristine beauty of the Bay of Islands. ***Cruising out to The Hole in the Rock is weather dependent. If conditions are not suitable, an alternative route will be taken within the shelter of the inner islands

Stopover for the second island will be on either Waewaetorea/Moturua/Urupukapuka Island (determined on the day), this is where we have the opportunity for snorkelling, swimming, possibly another walk if you fancied or simply enjoying some beach time, relaxing and taking in the wildlife sanctuaries that are part of the Bay of Islands. The second stop is a great place to enjoy a picnic, either bring your own lunch or contact Island Getaway directly to pre-order a packed lunch!

In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund Cruiseship Passengers: Bay of Islands is a tender port. Cruiseships tend to bring you into Waitangi Wharf, Paihia Wharf or Russell Wharf. If you are tendering into Waitangi Wharf, there are FREE Shuttle Buses provided for Cruiseship passengers to transfer you to the Paihia Wharf (Approximately 4-5 minutes) Our check-in location is PIER 10 on the Paihia Wharf
