Eli's Eco Tour in Antigua: North Sound Exploration

Overview

This eco tour, the oldest in Antigua, offers a full-day excursion in the North Sound, a protected area featuring 22 uninhabited virgin islands. The itinerary is designed to showcase local ecosystems and the region's history. The programme includes visiting the turtle project at Jumby Bay, observing reef balls at Maiden Island, and exploring the mangroves of Guyana Island. Two snorkeling sessions are scheduled, including an introductory lesson for beginners. The stop at Bird Island provides a chance to spot the Antigua racer, a non-venomous and endangered indigenous snake. The journey continues to Hells Gate Island, where you can snorkel or climb through a cave-like structure to reach a natural bridge with views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Local lunch, drinks, snacks, and bottled water are included. The day concludes with a homemade rum punch.
