Andalsnes Shore Excursion the Troll Road and Troll Wall

Overview

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure! You will travel by bus towards Europe’s tallest vertical rock face Trollveggen (Troll Wall) and the rugid mountain Romsdalshorn. The bus will take you all the way up the famous Trollstigen (Troll Road), through 11 hairpin curves. The mountains the King, the Queen and the Bishop will watch over you as you find yourself in the valley of the Trolls. Enjoy the mesmerizing view from the top of Trollstigen before going back to Åndalsnes.

Itinerary

1. Norwegian Mountaineering Centre

   Start of the tour with a visit to the Norwegian Mountaineering Centre, where will will watch the movie Trollfolk

2. Stigfossen Waterfall

   Photo stop at the bottom of the impressive Stigfossen waterfall, before driving up the famous Troll Road

   · 5 min

3. Drive up the challenging Troll Road

   · Non-stop passage

4. Pause on the top of the Troll Road, where from a platform you can enjoy the spectacular view over the valley and the Troll Road

   · 30 min

5. Drive down the Troll Raod, back to the meeting point in Åndalsnes

   · Non-stop passage

6. Trollveggen Besoksenter

   Visit to Europe's tallest vertical rock face

   · 15 min

How to use your ticket

• If you have not already specified, you must advise supplier as soon as possible your "ship name" if your are traveling with a cruise line • In order for our excursions to be available for everyone, the time of departure/arrival of each excursion is set to match the itineraries of the cruise ships. In case a time of departure needs to be adjusted, you will be notified in time. All meeting points are within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels Tour departs within walking distance of the cruise port Times are subject to change due to local traffic conditions.

What to know before you go

• Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• May be operated by a multi-lingual guide in English due to mixed groups
• Trollstigen is closed for the 2024 season. The risk of falling rocks poses too great a danger to keep the road open until adequate safety measures are implemented. Because of this, we will not be visiting Trollstigen or the viewing platforms on this tour.
• At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking "ship name"
• A service animal is not allowed by default as other guests may be allergic. If a service animal is needed, please contact us
• All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs
• All terrain are wheelchair accessible
• Contact us before booking if wheelchair ramp is needed!
• Bring child/infant seats with you
