Discover this magnificent and historical city with lots of religious monuments. Visit the citadel, the Roman baths, the collegiate and the main square. Considered the heart of Andalusia, Antequera was the borderline between Christian & Muslim territories in the middle age.

Itinerary

1. Plaza Coso Viejo

   Tour start time. Enjoy the main square surrounded by monumental buildings: Najera palace, some convents.

   Awesome church very rich decorated with barroque style .

3. Portichuelo Chapel - Virgen del socorro chapel.

   On the way to the Alcazaba we will make a stop to admire this popular chapel

4. Alcazaba de Antequera

   Later continue the tour by passing by The Alcazaba of Antequera. A fortress erected in the 14th century to counter the Christian advance from the north, over Roman ruins. It is rectangular in shape, with two towers and its keep is considered among the largest of Moorish al-Andalus. Then visit the Renaissance Collegiate of the XVI. century while listening to stories about middle age legends of the city from the hand of the guide.
