Overview

Embark on a 7-hour private excursion to discover Transnistria, a region deeply marked by the heritage of the former Soviet Union. Although officially part of Moldova, this area has its own currency, its own president, and three official languages. The itinerary takes you through iconic sites of the Soviet era, including the Lenin monuments and the House of Soviets, built in the Stalinist style. You will also visit the 16th-century Bendery Fortress and a Soviet canteen showcasing various period objects. The journey continues to the Bulgarian village of Parcani for a stop at the "Usadba Acasa" private guest house. Itinerary

1. During our exploration, we will have the opportunity to tour the historical Bender Fortress, situated on the eastern bank of the Dniester River in Bender city. This fortress, dating back to the 16th century, holds significant architectural value and stands as a testament to the town's integration into the Ottoman Empire. The construction of this remarkable stronghold commenced in 1538, marking an important era in its history.

2. The Memorial of Memory and Sorrow was erected in memory of the defenders of the Transnistrian city of Bendery, who died during the Transnistrian conflict in 1992.

3. Tiraspol

   We will go by public transport to the capital of the PMR, the city of Tiraspol, built by decree of the Russian Empress Catherine II - at present it is a modern city, the capital of a small independent state. In the center of Tiraspol, a monument to Lenin still stands.

4. Monument to Suvorov - the Russian Generalissimo, the founder of the city of Tiraspol. Located on the main square of the capital of Transnistria - Suvorov Square

5. The Memorial of Glory is the main historical and memorial complex of the city of Tiraspol, the capital of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Opened in 1972. Participants of the Civil War, the Great Patriotic War, as well as participants in the defense of Transnistria in 1992 are buried here.

6. Monument to V.I. Lenin - a symbol of the revolutionary and Soviet era. Erected in 1987. Located in front of the building of the Supreme Council and the Government of the PMR.
