Wilcox Pass

Overview

While hiking, enjoy amazing vistas of the Athabasca glacier and Columbia Icefield. Experience this tundra like alpine environment carved by glaciers, and learn about it's formation, flora and fauna.

Activity itinerary

During this hike we will enjoy exhilarating views on the way to Wilcox pass. There's nothing quite like the views of Snow Dome, Mount Athabasca, and the Columbia Icefield in the distance. Learn about this amazing environment that gives life to much of Canada. Upon meeting you will complete an orientation and sign waivers before hitting the trail for the day!

Please have each participant of your trip read and complete the following forms and return them to freeheelinadventures@gmail.com well before your trip. https://www.freeheelinadventures.com/waiver Please come prepared with mask, hand sanitizer, hiking boots, a day pack with 1.5 litres of water per person, lunch, snacks and equipped for mountain weather, it can snow any day of the year in the Rockies!  It is about a 2-2.5 h drive from Lake Louise to the Icefields Visitor Centre, please come with a full tank of gas.
