Itinerary

1. Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims

   9:30am Meeting in Reims, first most important city for Champagne and visit the famous Cathedral where kings coronations were held If you take the 8:28am train from Paris, we can meet you at the Reims train station at 9:15am, just let us know the day before to organize the pick up. On some days we have as well direct departures from Paris at 7:45am. Please contact us asap if you prefer that option as option is often sold out.

2. Champagne Route (Route Touristique du Champagne)

   Let's take the road along the touristic road of Champagne - Vineyard sightseeing of the best grape growing areas of Champagne Your guide who can be a Wine Expert and/or professional and experimented guide will explain everything about the Champagne region, history and the making process of the famous Champagne wine. - Visit and tastings at the first Winery. We change everyday the wineries we visit so it can be a Champagne House or a very premium Boutique establishment with premium tastings. You will taste at least 6 excellent, premium and different Champagne during the whole day. Our head Sommelier, Wine expert and Wine Educator Luiz B., created the tours and select the best wineries. He writes for 2 Champagne guide books and have access to exceptional wineries.

3. Hautvillers

   Lunch break in the famous village of Hautvillers, birthplace of Champagne and where used to leave Dom Perignon. Lunch is not including but we will already book a table for you in a lovely french restaurant with qualitative food, great Champagne selection and very good price (budget from 35euros p/p). Restaurants adapt easily to all food restrictions. As we change everyday the wineries we visit, restaurant can be in another village according to logistic but always a good adress.

4. Abbaye Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers

   Visit the church and lovely village, where Dom Perignon used to live called birthplace of Champagne and Unesco village.

5. Champagne Route (Route Touristique du Champagne)

   Let's take the road along the touristic road of Champagne and stop at the second premium Winemaker (Boutique Establishment) for a visit and great tastings. You will taste at least 6 excellent, premium and different Champagne during the whole day. We change wineries everyday.

6. Avenue de Champagne

   Walk along the Avenue de Champagne, Unesco street headquarters of the most prestigious Champagne Houses as Moet&Chandon, Perrier&Jouet, Leclerc brillant

7. We finish the tour in front of the Moët & Chandon boutique. Go on by yourself and explore more Champagne Houses and bars in the Unesco Avenue. Epernay train station is 150meters behind and take the regional train to go back to Reims (every 30min on week days) or Paris (every hour on week days). If you choose the private option and privatise the tour, we take you back at your hotel.

Pickup

Pickup or meet at the departure point.

For the private tour option: we offer the Hotel pick-up between Reims and Epernay. Please contact us before by message to arrange the pick-up location and time. End of the tour at your hotel. For the group tour option: We meet you at the Reims Cathedral at 9:30am, or if you let us know in advance at 9:15am at the Reims city train station if you are coming from Paris.

How to use your ticket

• Tour starts in front of the Reims Cathedral, left side gate at 9:30am. If you arrive at the Reims train station at 9:15am or if you have booked a private tour, please send us an email at least the day before to info@winetoursparis.com to arrange the pick-up meeting otherwise we will meet you in front of the cathedral. • If you have booked tickets for your children, please contact us to arrange the safety secure seats, they are limited. • Please check the weather forecasts before the tour as Champagne can be hot in Summer and during Winter cold/rainy. Cellar temperatures are always around 50F/10C. Jaket, umbrella, good shoes are recommended. • The Wineries visited will vary according to time of the year. We change everyday. No day is the same. • During the break time for lunch, we book already a restaurant for you according to the logistic of the tour. Restaurants adapt to diet restrictions. • Tour is in english but you can privatise it and have a italian, portuguese, spanish or french speaking guide if arranged before. • Minimum legal drinking age in France is 18 years old Anything else please do not hesitate to contact us at info@winetoursparis.com or by the phone: +337 8290 4319.

What to know before you go

• The tour is in English but depending on days our guides can help and speak french, italian, portuguese and spanish. If you privatise the tour and arrange it in advance we can attribute to you a portuguese or italian or spanish or french speaking guide.
• Tour starts in front of the Reims Cathedral, left side gate at 9:30am. We can meet you as well at the Reims train station at 9:15am if you arrive from Paris, but let us know in advance to arrange pick-up. On some days, we have tours departing from Paris. Please send us a message asap if you prefer to book that option, seats are limited.
• Tour finishes around 5pm in Epernay Avenue de Champagne so you can follow your journey in the most famous Champagne bars as Moët & Chandon, Perrier & Jouet.. . Train station is just 150meters away where you can go back easily to Reims (every 30min during week day and 3€ pp if you book it in advance, 5:32pm train for exemple). Or go back to Paris direct from Epernay (every hour on week days, 5:29pm train for exemple).
• If you book the private option hotel pick-up and drop-off are included around Reims, Epernay,. Please contact us in advance to arrange the pick-up
• During the break time for lunch, we book already a restaurant for you according to the logistic of the tour as we change everyday the wineries we visit. Restaurants adapt to diet restrictions.
• The van can fit a stroller or a compact wheelchair, please let us know in advance at time of booking so we will book no stairs wineries. We have as well infant seats available but limited, please let us know in advance age of children.
• Minimum legal drinking age is 18 years old.
