The madrasah was built in 1417 by Ismail Isfagani and Najmeddin Bukhari, the best architects of the time. The structure shows harmonious proportions and forms of its elements; it has little decoration and yet looks impressive and even majestic.

    Abdullazizkhan built it in 1651 – 1652 and it is the last large Madrasah in Bukhara. The building is typical by composition, with four-ayvans yard, but with unordinary divergent fan of hudj groups after side ayvans and cupola buildings on the central axis.

How to use your ticket

What to know before you go

  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Transfer to the Tashkent Railway Station at 06:30 in the morning. The high-speed train, Afrosiyob, leaves from Tashkent at 07:30 and arrives in Bukhara at 11:17. A guide and driver will meet you at the station, which is a starting point of the Bukhara tour. Moving to the Old City. Full day excursions with a guide in the historical center of Bukhara. After the tour you will be transferred to the airport for a flight back to Tashkent. Meeting at the airport in Tashkent and transfer to the hotel/ home.
  • In the evening, after the tour, take a little time to rest in the Bukhara airport, before arriving back in Tashkent around midnight. Even though you might be exhausted after such a long trip, the memories you make will stay with you long after the exhaustion has faded!
