If you're looking for more than dates and historical facts, this is the tour for you. We'll admire the magnificent Cathedral of St. Lawrence, Radovan's extraordinary portal, see noble palaces, the Venetian fortress and uncover countless small details that many visitors simply walk past. I'll share legends and traditions that still live today. This isn't a lecture. It's a conversation, full of discoveries, questions and memorable moments. Historic City of Trogir
We'll start at the North Gate - the main entrance into the town in the Medieval times. The town was fortified with the city walls and you couldn't enter the town wherever you wanted. We'll talk about the name of the town, who were the first settlers. We'll wander around beautiful narrow streets where you can feel the life continuing from the 3rd century BC. You'll hear the stories about life in Trogir nowadays and listen about its patron saint and why he has always been important to people here. Did you know that the bells played significant role in the life of the people in the past?! You'll find out why. We'll stop in front of the birth house of the Croatian nobleman Petar Berislavić, an important personality for the history of Croatia, not just Trogir
Town Museum
Do you know that the museum was once noble palace? It hides interesting stories from Trogir's history and plays an important role of the social life nowadays.
Forteresse Kamerlengo
Learn how this mighty Venetian fortress defended Trogir for centuries while enjoying one of the city's most beautiful viewpoints.
Do you know that Trogir has a football field in the area which is protected by UNESCO? There are not so many such football fields in the world. From here we will also see a gloriette dedicated to the French rule and the tower of St Mark.
Trogir Promenade
Stroll along the lively promenade where locals gather every evening and enjoy beautiful views across the harbour and nearby islands.
Južna gradska vrata (South Gate)
The south gate still has the original doors which would close in the evening. Next to the gate is Small lodge where you could find shelter during the night. This is perfect setting for your pictures as the gate makes the perfect picture frame for your photos and colours change depending on the part of the day. Behind the gate is the church and the Benedictine Monastery of St Nicholas which hides the story about Trogir as the town of the happy moment.
Central Square in Trogir
Experience the heart of local life while learning about the cathedral, the Town Hall and the fascinating people who shaped Trogir's history.
