Sunrise Segway Tour of the Uluru Base

Overview

Traverse the entire base of the Uluru monolith on a Segway during a 5-hour excursion. This adventure begins at dawn to watch the sunrise illuminate the rock and the surrounding desert. The experience includes a picnic breakfast consisting of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, croissants, and muesli. Accompanied by a professional guide, you will explore the nature, geology, and history of the region, with a specific stop at the Mutitjulu Waterhole to admire ancient Aboriginal rock art. The service includes pick-up and drop-off from your hotel or campsite within the Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. Helmets and safety equipment are provided for the duration of the tour.

Itinerary

1. Enjoy a picnic breakfast at Uluru's amazing sunrise viewing area. Witness the desert landscape come to life as the sun rises and coloursbegin to change.

2. Uluru

   Learn to ride a Segway and enjoy a guided Segway tour around the full base of Uluru. On the tour learn about history, nature and local Aboriginal culture.

3. Mutitjulu Waterhole

   Be led on foot by your guide on a guided walk into Mutitjulu waterhole. Hear you can see Aboriginal rock art and learn more about Anangu people.

Please wait in front of the hotel reception for your guide to pick you up. Bring with you 1L of water per person, closed in shoes and your National Park Entry Ticket (which can be bought via Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park website)

How to use your ticket

Please reconfirm your tour and all details 24 hours prior to departure. Check that you are aware of the where and at what time you will need to meet your guide. Please be at the meeting point 10min ahead of the scheduled pick up time. Please bring closed in shoes, 1L of water per person and your National Park Entry Ticket. Please be advised children under the age of 12 years old are not able to join this tour. Participants above the age of 65 years are at a significantly increased risk in the event of a fall and should consider their personal suitability for this adventure activity. Uluru Segway Tours recommends this activity for those aged 12 -55 years.
