Overview

Explore the volcanic landscapes of São Miguel Island on a two-day tour. This itinerary takes you to the most iconic sites, including the Furnas volcano and its thermal springs, the Sete Cidades volcano, and the Fogo volcano. The programme also includes a visit to a pineapple plantation, famous waterfalls, and tea plantations. Two options are available to suit your preferences. The first includes lunches: a traditional stew (Cozido das Furnas) during the Furnas & Nordeste leg, and a regional speciality buffet during the Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo leg. The second option, without lunch, provides more free time for your own meals or snacks. The experience includes a tea tasting at Gorreana and a tasting of traditional liqueurs. Pick-up and drop-off are provided from Ponta Delgada and surrounding areas. The group is limited to 8 participants and is accompanied by a guide speaking English or Portuguese.

Please note: Pickups start at 9:00am and may take up to 30 minutes to complete the pickup of all travellers. Pickups are only available for hotels and accommodations located on main roads of Ponta Delgada, Lagoa and Ribeira Grande. If your accommodation is not listed, if it is located in narrow, one-way streets or in historic centers, we will refer you to the nearest meeting point.
