Treasures of Modra

Overview

I invite you on a journey of hidden treasures to the place I love, live and feel inspired. Modra is a town of wine & ceramics, town of national revivalist, writers, poets and painters, cosy cafés, delicous ice-cream and beautiful surrounding Small Carpathians mountains. During our 2-hour walking tour I will show you the highlights of my town. We will ascent the city tower (150 stairs) where you will have a magnificent view of the whole town. You will learn why Modra is called "blue". Why the Catholic church has an Ottoman symbol on its top. Why we have two evangelical churches next to each other. And of course we will not ommit the wine-making and ceramics tradition. As a bonus I invite you for a cup of coffee from the local roastery.

Itinerary

1. Church of St Stephen the King v Modre

   Expect 2-hour walking tour with a great local guide in the most picturesque town of the Small Carpathians famous for its wine, ceramics and rich history. The ascent to the city tower and a cup of delicious coffee is included.
