Overview

Discover the Carpathian Mountains and the best castle in Romania, Peles Castle, on a tour from Bucharest. Take a gondola ride up into the mountains to an altitude of 2000 meters. Start with a visit to Peles Castle, built by the first King of Romania, Carol I. The Neo-Renaissance palace is located in the Royal Domain of Sinaia in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, in Prahova County, Romania. After the visit to the castle, take a gondola ride up into the mountains to an altitude of 2000 meters. Take some pictures from the gondola and at the 2000 m altitude. On the way down from the mountains, stop at one of the traditional restaurants in Sinaia City. After the tour, be dropped off back at your accommodation in Bucharest.

    Peleș Castle is a Neo-Renaissance palace in the Royal Domain of Sinaia in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, in Prahova County, Romania, on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1914. Its inauguration was held in 1883. It was constructed for King Carol I of Romania.
