Depart from San José for a full day on Tortuga Island, located in the Gulf of Nicoya, 12 nautical miles from Puntarenas. This 120-hectare island is maintained as a protected forest and holds the Blue Flag Ecological distinction, ensuring clean, uncontaminated waters.
